Ray Blakeney of Merritt Island sustained serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident today. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mr. Blakeney was traveling westbound on County Road 561A when a 14-year-old dashed into the road in an attempt to cross the street. Mr. Blakeney took evasive action but was unable to avoid striking the boy. |

Michael Andrew Del-Freo, 42, was arrested for driving under in the influence and leaving the scene of an accident in connection with a crash that seriously injured two motorcycle riders.
Mr. Del-Freo was pulling out of a Sonoco gas station on U.S. 19 when he drove into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with Mr. Del-Freo's vehicle, ejecting both riders. |

A hit-and-run accident left one motorcycle rider dead and another with serious injuries.
Raymond Sanchez, 30, was driving his motorcycle northbound on John Young Parkway in Orange County. He was following another motorcycle rider when a white van abrupty changed lanes, forcing Sanchez and the other rider into the median. Sanchez hit a tree and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other rider was transported to the hospital for treatment. |

William Boylston, 56, of Brunswick, Georgia, was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Cocoa, Florida.
The accident was investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol. According to officers, Mr. Boylston was exiting the northbound emergency lane when he was hit by a van driven by Michelle Hambidge of Rockledge, Florida. The impact was severe and threw Mr. Boylston from his bike. Police report he was not wearing a accident. |

A fiery crash on U.S. 41 claimed the life of John Meredith, 64, of Palmetto, Florida. Mr. Meredith was riding a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on U.S. 41 when he was struck by a van. The motorcycle became wedged under the van and burst into flames. |

An off-duty deputy with the Broward Sheriff's Office was killed in a motorcycle accident after being cut off by another motorist.
The deputy, whose name has not yet been released, was traveling westbound on Commercial Boulevard near NE 3rd Avenue in Oakland Park when another vehicle cut him off. |

A Seminole County Sheriff's deputy has died after getting into an accident with a car in Altamonte Springs, according to a spokeswoman from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said Deputy Matt Miller, 53, was one of their motorcycle units and was on duty during the crash. |

Police are investigating a car-motorcycle accident that occurred at around noon today on Mound Street between Osprey and Orange Avenues.
The motorcyclist was heading northbound on Mound Street when he was struck by a car that was attempting to make a left turn, police said. |

A motorcyclist killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday was a 46-year-old Miami man, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Jean Michel Mount was pronounced dead at the accident site in the 600 block of South Federal Highway in Dania Beach, the Sheriff's Office said. |

His devotion to firefighting came to a tragic end Wednesday, 10 days after he was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a car the day after his 40th birthday. |
